Pharmacy Technicians prepare, dispense and compound medications, manage inventory, perform administrative tasks and assist in the provision of pharmaceutical care. Eastern College is now offering the Pharmacy Technician program in two learning formats
Pharmacy Technician Program (On-Campus)
Throughout the program, you will learn in a classroom environment that simulates real-world pharmacy settings.

Pharmacy Technician Bridging (Online) – For existing pharmacy assistants

- Learn anywhere with our part-time program offered remotely
- Includes only 3 hours of instruction per week, giving you the flexibility to work and attend classes virtually.

18-WEEK FIELD PLACEMENT
This Pharmacy Technician Diploma program (excluding Pharmacy Technician Bridging) includes two 4-week practicum experiences from both a hospital and retail environment. You’ll enhance your skills, make industry connections, and feel more confident pursuing your career.
2QUALITY THROUGH ACCREDITATION
Accreditation ensures that the courses you take are meeting the highest standards. The Pharmacy Technician program at the Halifax Campus has been awarded accreditation status by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs for a five year term (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2027).
